Welcome

Last month, I was honored the opportunity to serve as a Digital Media Intern for the USPL Maryland Mavericks, a cricket team a part of the US Premier League. On July 26th, 2025, I completed my first day on the job by interning at a corporate cricket event, where players from different teams involved in the corporate field participated in cricket tournaments. Through this experience, I was able to meet new people, interview cricket players, and understand what the corporate world really looks like. This is the first of many experiences with USPL Maryland Mavericks, and this opportunity has taught me that networking events like this are crucial to the growth and development of a person. Overall, I hope my work through Girls In Democracy is able to empower young women the same way my internship did!
